When checking Twitter, you expect a light chuckle, some news, probably some memes and dog pics. What you don’t expect is to see your dad’s face pop up as a meme.

Alex Leavy was scrolling through Twitter when she came across a picture of an older dude photobombing a selfie with what looks like a pretty creepy leer.

The tweet was shared by user @tooshortforwhat on Tuesday, when she noticed the man overshadowing her selfie.

The original tweet itself received a lot of buzz, as funny (and definitely awkward) pictures are prone to do.

The minute you’re trying to be nosey but get caught and look away ‼️😩😂 SB you look bomb 😘 pic.twitter.com/uKUaQCbMCd

But for Leavy it resonated a bit differently, considering she immediately recognized that the dude in the picture was none other than her father.

And she did what anyone would do: she told Twitter.

You ever check twitter and realize your fucking father has turned into a meme? https://t.co/fcGn7JpdP2

That little bit of honesty made Leavy’s discovery quickly go viral with over 400,000 likes and 84,000 retweets.

Leavy told Buzzfeed that her father couldn’t even remember the picture being taken. She said he is blind in one eye and told her that he was just looking down.

There were a ton of questions about Leavy’s father and she tweeted some of the more asked ones, particularly about his sweet tie.

Okay I’m gonna answer some questions! Yes he’s blind in one eye, the baby is a boy, and it’s a jerry Garcia tie I got him for Christmas. He knows but mom doesn’t so don’t tell her

The family pic I posted to prove he was my dad was from my sisters gender reveal so people were asking!

She also shared this goofy picture of her dad.

Just a disclaimer I love my dad very much and I think he’d like you to see his favorite picture of him pic.twitter.com/PD99RUtObO

Apparently this isn’t the first time Leavy’s dad and his antics have risen to the spotlight.

I wish I was adopted
