This celebrity mom is coming clean about something that happens to so many new moms. On Instagram, Lea Michele admitted she’s dealing with postpartum hair loss, and she even shared a photo of the evidence with her followers. It’s definitely one of the less glamorous parts of being a mom, but it happens to the best of us!

Lea posted a photo on her Instagram story of her hair that had fallen out.

Though the post has since disappeared, ET reported that the former Glee star shared this snapshot of her hair in her hand on Wednesday, writing, "The postpartum hair loss is REAL."

Yup, it sure is — most people who have given birth can attest to that. As if it’s not enough to go through pregnancy and childbirth, here’s an extra little treat for new moms to deal with. Sigh.

She also let her fans know that she plans to get her hair chopped soon.

In a follow-up post on her story, the former Glee actress shared a selfie of her long hair, writing, "Enjoying this long hair while it lasts because the mom bob is right around the corner."

Hey, there are worse styles out there than the "mom bob" — and it can be a really effective way to make the hair loss a little easier to deal with before that stage of postpartum recovery has passed.

Lea welcomed a baby boy in August.

This is her first child with husband Zandy Reich. They named their little guy Ever Leo Reich, which she hinted at when she posted this photo of his little foot, writing, "ForEver grateful for this true blessing," in her caption.

So sweet — and from all of her pregnancy updates, we know this is something she’s been looking forward to for a long time.

Lea has been sharing plenty of updates in the four months since her little one was born.

Although she’s doing everything she can to keep the finer details private — such as avoiding showing her baby’s face on social media — she has managed to share plenty of family pics anyway. It seems as if she’s really loving mom life — even if not-so-fun things such as hair loss are a part of the experience.

We can’t wait to see Lea’s new ‘do.

Even though her long hair is obviously gorgeous, we have no doubt she’ll rock the mom bob. We hope she doesn’t let the hair loss get her down — yep, it’s totally a bummer, but it also doesn’t last forever. She’ll have her pretty long locks back someday if she wants them, and in the meantime, she’s got a precious baby boy to cuddle.
