Maus passed away on Sunday night, with a GoFundMe campaign for medical expenses revealing she had suffered from Crohn’s disease had also contracted COVID-19. In addition to acting, Maus also served an acting teacher and had appeared in the likes of My Effortless Brilliance and Your Sister’s Sister.
A post by the West Hollywood drama school John Rosenfeld Studios commented on her passing:
Jeanette was truly an artist and felt truly grateful to live as an artist. She had an indomitable spirit and was hungry to be the best person, the best teacher, the best friend and the best actor she could be. The world lost a force of nature, and we will be feeling that for a long time.
PSU would like to extend our condolences to Maus’ family and friends.
