The 25 Happiest Cities in America

National Geographic, Gallup and The Blue Zones of Happiness: Lessons From the World’s Happiest People author Dan Buettner have released “The 25 Happiest Cities in the United States” based on 15 metrics like civic engagement, walkability and healthful food options. Topping the list is Boulder, Colorado, where residents feel “active and productive every day.” According to Buettner, location plays a considerable role in happiness—enough that you may want to skip town if you’re not feeling content. “If you want to get happy, don’t try and change your belief system. Change your environment,” he says.
