Michael B. Jordan’s ‘Without Remorse’ Has A Mid-Credits Scene That Might Hint at More Tom Clancy Movies
The movie, based on Tom Clancy‘s novel of the same name tells the origin story of John Kelly (aka John Clark), a U.S. Navy SEAL, who uncovers an international conspiracy while seeking justice for the murder of his pregnant wife by Russian soldiers.
When Kelly joins forces with fellow SEAL Karen Greer and shadowy CIA agent Robert Ritter, the mission unwittingly exposes a covert plot that threatens to engulf the U.S. and Russia in an all-out war.
The movie includes a very interesting mid-credits scene that might hint at even more Tom Clancy movies to come.
In the mid-credits scene, both John (Jordan) and new CIA director Robert Ritter (Jamie Bell) are seen having a chat in front of the Washington Monument. The moment sees that Ritter saying he’s surprised that John would come back to D.C. after everything that’s happened, but it’s revealed that John has a very good reason.
“I’ve been thinking about what happened. About how it could happen again. So I put together some thoughts,” John tells Ritter. “A multi-national counter-terrorist team, made up of US, UK, hand-selected NATO personnel, with the full support of their national intelligence services.”
He also tells Ritter that he’ll be the one running it, and he already has a name: Rainbow.
The name hints at the Rainbow Six from Clancy’s novels, which is the most secret of top secret black ops organizations.
Before Without Remorse was on Amazon, it was planned to be released in theaters, and the mid-credits scene is dropping hints that move movies based on Clancy’s novels could be coming.
The first was Jack Ryan, and John Clark the second.
