According to People, the Duke of Sussex recently addressed the latest group of individuals receiving the Diana Awards, which were created in memory of Princess Diana and aims to inspire positive change in the lives of young people, for their “humanitarian work and community action.
“I’m truly honored to be celebrating your work, your commitment to change making and the vital role that you’ve taken on representing a new generation of humanitarianism," Harry said in the video per the outlet. “Later this week, my brother and I are recognizing what would have been our mum’s 60th birthday and she would be so proud of you all for living authentic life with purpose and with compassion for others."
"Our mom believed that young people have the power to change the world. She believed in your strength because she saw it day in and day out and in the faces of young people exactly like you, she witnessed a boundless enthusiasm and passion,” he continued before making sure to include his wife Meghan Markle in the speech. "Meg and I fundamentally believe that our world is at the cusp of change, real change for the good of all."
And this isn’t the first time Harry has spoken out in honor of the Award. Last year, the organization revealed that Prince William had written a letter to offer thanks and support on behalf of himself and his younger brother.
“I wanted to write and send my support and thanks to all the staff, volunteers and supporters of the Diana Award,” part of William’s letter read. “My brother and I remain ever appreciative of the work you do to foster, develop and support young people, particularly at this time of uncertainty.”
Looks like Will and Harry are showing lots of love for Princess Diana this week.
