Scarlett Johansson has found her next starring role in the newest film hailing from Wes Anderson.
According to Deadline, Academy Award nominee Scarlett Johansson is the latest star to join the cast of director Wes Anderson’s next film.
Johansson’s involvement with the project will mark the second time she’s worked with the prolific director. Previously, the Black Widow vet lent her voice to Anderson’s stop-motion animation, Isle of the Dogs, which hit theaters back in 2018.
Details with regards to what role Johansson will take on in Wes Anderson’s next offering have not yet been disclosed. As with most of the director’s features, plot details, as well as specifics with regards to the title, are being kept shrouded in secrecy.
The actress joins a star-studded cast comprised of Hollywood A-listers such as Margot Robbie, Tom Hanks, Adrian Brody, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Rupert Friend, and Tilda Swinton.
Wes Anderson’s next feature film is currently in production out in Spain, though it’s still unclear as to when we might expect to see the movie hit theaters.
The French Dispatch, which serves as the director’s next title, is slated to be released in theaters on October 22.
As for Scarlett Johansson, fans of the actress can currently catch her reprising her role as Natasha Romanoff in Marvel’s stand-alone Black Widow movie.
