Battlefield 2042: How to Fix Unable to Load Persistence Data

Battlefield 2042 has officially launched through Early Access! Those who have pre-ordered specific editions or are subscribers to EA Play can now play the game a week before the full launch, with all content readily available. While most are jumping in and enjoying the title, there are many running into issues as well. One common issue is the Unable to Load Persistence Data error. If you’re having trouble with this, no need to worry. In this guide, I’ll tell you exactly how to fix Unable to Load Persistance Data in Battlefield 2042!

How to Fix Unable to Load Persistence Data in Battlefield 2042

Battlefield 2042 Reveals Hazard Zone, Here's How It Works

First things first, it’s important to note that the servers today are in rough shape. If any of the fixes below don’t seem to work for you, then you may just have to wait out the issues and hope that it resolves itself when things have eased up. With that out of the way, onto the actual fixes.

One of the first and more obvious fixes is to restart your system. While on PC this is quite simple, consoles can be more complex than simply turning it off and on again. If you’re on a console, you’ll want to hold down the power button completely, then unplug your console and wait two minutes. After those two minutes are up, plug the console back in and start it up. This will fully refresh your console, meaning that any errors related to it should be eliminated instantly.

Another thing some have suggested (albeit only on PC) is to verify your game’s files. This can be done through Origin, the EA Desktop App, or Steam. It’s also advised you close anything that could possibly interfere (or close everything else altogether). If this doesn’t work, then you may have to bite the bullet and redownload your game. It’s possible something got corrupted beyond repair which, while unlikely, isn’t impossible.

If all of the above doesn’t work, you’ll have to simply wait it out. If it’s any silver lining, it likely isn’t you if you’ve tried all that. All in all, I hope this helped you fix the Unable to Load Persistence Data error in Battlefield 2042.

Battlefield 2042 is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles through its Early Access program. The full game will be available to all who purchased the standard edition on November 19.

Far Cry 6 and Nintendo Switch Tops US Industry Charts

Far Cry 6 tops software charts, while the Nintendo Switch, which has seen its new Switch OLED model hit the market, led hardware sales during a record October for US games industry sales figures.

Consumer spending across video game hardware, content, and accessories hit $4.4 billion last month, which was up 16% compared to a year earlier, according to market research firm the NPD Group. Far Cry 6, which is the latest entry in Ubisoft’s open-world FPS series, was October’s best-selling game, and is already the eighth best-selling title of 2021 to date, said NPD analyst Mat Piscatella. It’s hardly surprising that Far Cry 6 tops charts so well, considering the reputation the Far Cry name carries.

Far Cry 6 tops charts

The PS5 had recently dethroned the Nintendo Switch as the top-selling console back in September, ending its 33-month run. Nintendo however has reclaimed that top market spot in October, which can be mainly attributed to the release of the new Switch OLED model, significantly boosting the sales numbers for the home console.

The PS5 however is still ever-increasingly successful, with Sony‘s console still remaining the leader in regards to dollar sales, however, the Nintendo Switch and its various models are still leading in actual units sold on the market.

In regards to the game charts, Back 4 Blood and its zombie-slaying goodness made second place behind Far Cry 6, seeing strong numbers since its release. Behind this was the newly released Metroid Dread, which has seen the highest launch month sales of any franchise release in NPD tracked history. It was a major success for Nintendo, a company at the spearhead of many successes.
