James Harden’s long-awaited debut for the Philadelphia 76ers is finally coming this week.

Harden will make his long-awaited debut for Philadelphia on Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Harden was acquired on February 10 just before the NBA trade deadline in the blockbuster deal involving the Brooklyn Nets that sent Ben Simmons out to Brooklyn.

Harden had been out due to a hamstring injury; one that forced him to miss the 2022 NBA All Star Game even after he was sitting out games with Brooklyn and eventually got himself traded to Philadelphia.

In 44 games for the Nets, Harden was averaging 22.5 points, 10.2 assists and 8.0 rebounds per game. Harden was acquired in the mega-blockbuster deal a year ago involving the Houston Rockets that had Brooklyn trading seven draft picks to the Rockets to acquire Harden.

But tension arose between Harden, Kevin Durant and the Nets, thus, leading to the trade with the 76ers.
