Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Benedict Cumberbatch is back as Doctor Strange in the highly anticipated Marvel movie. According to Marvel Studios, the film, directed by Sam Raimi, is a “thrilling ride through the Multiverse with Doctor Strange, his trusted friend Wong and Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch.” “You cannot control everything, Strange,” Wong (Benedict Wong) says in the trailer. “You opened the doorway between universes and we don’t know who or what will walk through it.”
Marmaduke
Release Date: May 6

Marmaduke the Great Dane is heading to the World Dog Championship in Netflix’s new 3D CGI animated movie. The film, which is based on Brad Anderson’s comic strip, features the voices of Pete Davidson, J.K. Simmons and David Koechner.
Family Camp
Release Date: May 13
How to watch: Only in theaters
The Ackermans decide to go to Camp Katokwah, where they meet the another family, the Sanders. The film, from The Skit Guys, is said to be a “laugh-out-loud comedy that will touch the hearts and tickle the funny bones of every family member from eight to eighty.”
Sneakerella

The music-driven movie puts a “contemporary twist” on the classic Cinderella story. Unlike Cinderella, Sneakerella follows El (Chosen Jacobs), a sneaker designer from Queens, who dreams of designing for the King brand. “With a nudge from his best friend and a touch of magic, El finds the courage to lace up and dream big,” according to Disney+.
Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers

Thirty years after their TV show, Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers, was canceled, Chip (voiced by John Mulaney) and Dale (voiced by Andy Samberg)—who has since had CGI surgery—reunite to rescue their former cast member in this live-action/CG animated comedy.

Jurassic World: Dominion

Talk about a dino-mite movie night! Dinosaurs are living and hunting alongside humans in the third film in the Jurassic World trilogy. The “epic conclusion to the Jurassic era” will see the return of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, in addition to Jurassic Park OGs Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill.
Lightyear

The “definitive origin story” of the legendary space ranger Buzz Lightyear, who inspired the toy in Toy Story, blasts into theaters this summer. No, Tim Allen is not voicing Buzz, but rather Chris Evans, who previously clarified on Twitter that “this isn’t Buzz Lightyear the toy. This is the origin story of the human Buzz Lightyear that the toy is based on.”

Minions: The Rise of Gru

Set in the ’70s, the latest installment in the franchise explores the origin story of how a young Gru (voiced by Steve Carell) first met his minions, including Kevin, Stuart, Bob and Otto. The minions try to master kung fu to help save Gru after he becomes the enemy of the supervillain supergroup, the Vicious 6.
Thor: Love and Thunder

Chris Hemsworth is reprising his role as the God of Thunder in Marvel Studios’ fourth Thor film, Thor: Love and Thunder. While on “a quest for inner peace,” Thor’s “retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods,” per Marvel. In order to combat the threat, Hemsworth’s character enlists help from King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), and “together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.” MCU fans can look forward to plenty of familiar faces, including the Guardians of the Galaxy!

In a world where beasts wander the sea, monster hunter Jacob Holland embarks on a journey into “uncharted waters” and makes “history” with a young stowaway on his ship. The Netflix movie from Oscar-winning filmmaker Chris Williams is said to take “us to where the map ends, and the true adventure begins.”
Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank

Hank (Michael Cera) is a “hard-on-his-luck hound” who turns to a samurai cat, voiced by Samuel L. Jackson, to train him so he can become a samurai himself and defend a town full of cats from the plot of a villain (Ricky Gervais).
DC League of Super-Pets

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the voice of Superman’s dog, Krypto the Super-Dog. After Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto rounds up shelter pets with new powers to rescue the superheroes. The voice cast includes Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, Marc Maron, Thomas Middleditch, Ben Schwartz and Keanu Reeves.
