Meghan Markle has been through a lot these past few years, to say the least. But now, according to her good friend Tyler Perry, it appears that the duchess is in a much better place.
In honor of her 41st birthday, the media mogul penned a rare, personal message for Markle on his Instagram page. Perry posted a sweet snap of the royal interacting with a little girl during her visit to Cape Town charity Mothers2Mothers back in 2019. And in the caption, he wrote, "I’ve had a front row seat in your life for the past few years. I’ve watched you endure things that would have broken a lot of people."
He continued, "I’m so incredibly proud to see how happy you, your husband, and your kids are now. It fills me with joy to say Happy Birthday Princess Meghan."
Fans flooded the comments section with their words of encouragement and support for the duchess. One person wrote, "She has truly been the epitome of grace under (extreme) pressure…Happiest of Birthdays Meghan, your family is beautiful." Another said, "Duchess Meghan is a true embodiment of inspiration, strength, virtue, grace and elegance. Am so pleased that she has so many people who has her back."
If you recall, Perry was kind enough to offer housing to Markle and Prince Harry after they stepped down from their royal duties back in 2020. As they looked for a new home, he allowed them to stay in his Beverly Hills mansion and offered them security.
"We didn’t have a plan," Meghan said during her tell-all interview with Winfrey, per BBC. "We needed a house, and [Perry] offered his security as well, so it gave us breathing room to try to figure out what we were going to do."
Major kudos to Perry for helping Markle and her family in their time of transition.
