Reba McEntire Reveals Doctor-Ordered Vocal Rest
Reba McEntire is taking it easy whether she likes it or not.
McEntire revealed Wednesday that her doctor had advised to go on vocal rest, which forced her to reschedule this weekend’s show.
The Oklahoma native, who can be seen in an all-new episode of “Big Sky” on ABC tonight alongside Darius Rucker and Lyle Lovett, called the decision to reschedule the shows “difficult.”
“Thank you for understanding!” she said.
All tickets will be honored for the new dates:
December 2 • Columbus, OH
December 3 • Raleigh, NC
December 16 • Indianapolis, IN
McEntire headlined a soldout Bridgestone Arena in Nashville for the first time in October. Her 90-minute set was packed with highlights, including virtual appearances from Vince Gill and Brooks & Dunn and a night of powerful, flawless vocal performances stacked with decades of hit songs. McEntire managed four costume changes, a Linda Ronstadt medley featuring opener Terri Clark and a fiery “Fancy” to close the concert.
Before the show, Universal Music Group Nashville President Cindy Mabe and Chairman/CEO Mike Dungan honored McEntire for more than 58 million albums sold worldwide.
The Country Music Hall of Famer will conclude the current leg of the Reba: Live In Concert tour, presented by Live Nation on December 16 but recently announced plans to continue the tour in March of 2023.
