Farewell, Lisa Marie Presley.
Whether it was a crop top and bell bottoms during her Nicolas Cage era or an elegant black gown at the 2005 Globes, the singer-songwriter knew how to make a style statement.
And while she tended to stick to black and white outfits, every once in a while we saw a pop of color, like the aforementioned glittery flares or the cream dress trimmed with an orange flower she wore in 2005.
Below, we take a look back at some of Lisa Marie Presley’s best red carpet moments.
1999 Vanity Fair Oscar Party
Presley wore a glam gown to the 1999 Vanity Fair party, pairing her strapless dress with a matching satin wrap and an on-trend choker necklace (plus plenty of piecey strands hanging out of her updo).
2001 American Cinematheque Awards
The star, who would marry Nicolas Cage a year later, joined her then-partner on the red carpet in perhaps her most memorable look ever, rocking a plunging beaded gown with a sheer bottom and Marilyn Monroe-esque hair.
2001 Art Exhibition
Presley and Cage made a groovy duo as they attended an art exhibition celebrating the paintings of Bryten Goss in 2001 while wearing coordinating retro-style outfits — and the singer’s low-waisted, glittery flares were the perfect accompaniment to a simple white button-down made sexy.
2005 Grammy Awards
Elvis’ daughter wore an updated version of her long black beaded dress to the 2005 Grammys, rocking a short style with sheer three-quarter sleeves and flapper-style beading.
2005 MusiCares Person Of The Year Awards
Presley wowed in a low-cut cream dress trimmed with lace as she attended an event honoring Brian Wilson in 2005, sporting a bold orange flower at her waist and strappy gold sandals.
2005 Golden Globe Awards
She wore a black gown with beaded detail at the center — along with a very glam cape — to the 2005 Golden Globes, during which she presented an award onstage with Usher.
“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One: Premiere, 2010
Plunging white lace was the order of the day when she attended the premiere of the penultimate “Harry Potter” movie in 2010 along with then-husband Michael Lockwood.
2012 Billboard Music Awards
Presley wore a gown covered in tiers of ruffles to the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, adding her signature black in the form of a blazer and wearing her hair in a bouncy blowout.
“Mad Max: Fury Road” premiere, 2015
The songwriter’s hair was in top form at the premiere of “Mad Max: Fury Road” in 2015, with Presley showing off gorgeous waves to go with her elegant off-the-shoulder black dress.
Grand opening of “Graceland Presents ELVIS: The Exhibition – The Show – The Experience,” 2015
Lisa Marie and mom Priscilla Presley coordinated in what else but black and white as the mother/daughter duo attended a ribbon cutting for an Elvis exhibition in Las Vegas.
With Valentine’s Day on the way, Rihanna is wearing her heart on her catsuit.
Following the release of the Savage X Fenty Valentine’s Day collection on Thursday, the Bad Gal took to Instagram to model a sheer style from the sexy line: the Lovestruck Lace Crotchless Catsuit ($95).
She struck several poses in the one-piece, which is made of micro-fishnet fabric and features a heart-shaped cutout in the front.
The brand reposted the video, writing “crushing hearts and snapping necks,” while the “Diamonds” songstress captioned her own steamy clip, “phuck yo roses.”
While Rihanna’s comments section was filled with plenty of pleas for new music, Kathy Hilton — who recently told Page Six Style she bought a special holiday present for the lingerie mogul — instead dropped a string of heart emojis.
Crotchless catsuit styles are clearly close to Rihanna’s heart, as she once took a dip in the pool wearing a similar design in fiery red.
But her new lace onesie is far from the only sexy style up for grabs in her brand’s V-Day Shop, which also includes leggings, boxers, bras and more, available in cup sizes A-H, band sizes 30-46 and clothing sizes XS-4X.
The “Rihanna’s Favorites” edit ranges from heart-emblazoned styles like the Lovestruck Lace Open-Back Panty ($25) and Lovestruck Lace Unlined Balconette Bra ($50) to on-theme activewear like the Hotline Medium-Impact Sports Bra ($70) and scarlet Run 2 You Mesh Tank ($60).
It seems the star always has “Love on the Brain” come January; her previous Savage X Fenty Valentine’s Day campaigns have seen the star donning zippable (or rather, unzippable) styles, dripping in over $2 million worth of rubies and giving Cupid a run for his money with her mesh lace-up look.
February 14 won’t be the only big day for Rihanna this winter, however, as she followed up her steamy video with a teaser for her long-awaited Super Bowl halftime performance.
The V-Day-ready collection also comes after the star dropped special styles on the sporty side: a limited-edition Savage X Fenty Game Day Collection.
Maleficent looks magnificent.
On Wednesday night, Angelina Jolie stepped out in New York City in a sweeping black cape reminiscent of one of her old red carpet looks from the ’90s, giving fans a major fashion flashback.
Joined by eldest daughter Zahara Jolie-Pitt, 18, the 47-year-old “Eternals” actress layered her black bouclé cloak over a classic champagne silk slip dress.
More than 25 years ago, the “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” star styled a similar velvet cape over a floor-length lilac slip for the 1997 Cable Ace Awards.
Back then, Jolie — who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Movie or Miniseries for her work in “George Wallace” — styled the outfit with dark eye makeup and jet-black hair.
This time around, Jolie accessorized with diamond studs, a black Yves Saint Laurent clutch ($825) and nude pointy-toe pumps, and wore her brunette locks long and loose.
Spelman College student Zahara, meanwhile, kept it casual in black Converse Chuck Taylors, an orange printed dress and a hooded parka.
While the unlikely duo sparked dating rumors, Jolie was accompanied by daughter Shiloh, 16, and the pair had seen the “Normal People” actor perform in “A Streetcar Named Desire” earlier that day.
It’s her, hi.
Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance at The 1975’s concert at the O2 Arena in London Thursday, where she treated the crowd to the first-ever live performance of her “Midnights” track “Anti-Hero.”
And the pop phenom — who also covered The 1975’s song “The City” — made the whole place shimmer in an itty-bitty, disco-worthy Paco Rabanne chainmail dress ($3,950) dripping with layers of gold and silver sequins.
The fashion house’s signature paillette-covered styles, the design for which dates back to the 1960s, have also popped up on stars including Dua Lipa, Sophie Turner and Laura Harrier.
Swift, 33, completed the look with towering Christian Louboutin platform heels ($623, originally $2,495), a simple chain necklace, her go-to red lipstick and, interestingly, the same braided buns she wore during her “Folklore” era, tempering her party-ready mini with something more homespun.
“taylor wearing a fearless outfit with folklore hair while playing a midnights song. #TheErasTour is about to be wild,” one fan quipped on Twitter, while another wrote, “did folklore taylor make an appearance? she’s wearing a mirrorball dress with her little folklore buns.”
Indeed, the Grammy winner seems set to serve up the same mixed-genre ensembles when she hits the road in March for her Eras Tour, which she teased on Instagram as “a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!).”
In October, The 1975’s Matt Healy was asked about a potential collaboration with Swift during an interview with BBC Radio 1.
“Oh no, we’re not. We’d love to … love to work with Taylor Swift,” the “Chocolate” singer said at the time. “Love Taylor Swift, think she’s one of the best song writers. Yeah, no, there’s not … we haven’t done that. We’d love to though, wouldn’t we?”
Perhaps the group will make a cameo during one of Swift’s upcoming tour stops.
