Gisele Bündchen reacts to ex Tom Brady’s NFL retirement news
Gisele Bündchen wished her ex-husband nothing but the best following his announcement that he’s retiring from the NFL for a second time.
“Wishing you only wonderful things in this new chapter of your life. ,” she commented beneath his Instagram video Wednesday morning.
It’s no surprise that the former Victoria’s Secret Angel, 42, would support the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback’s decision to hang up the cleats, as Page Six broke the news last year that the two had entered into an “epic fight” over his decision to unretire from the NFL.
“There’s been trouble in the marriage over his decision to un-retire. Gisele has always been the one with the kids,” a source shared with us.
“They had agreed he would retire to focus on the family, then he changed his mind.”
The former couple were unable to work out their differences, and confirmed in October 2022 that they had not only filed for divorce but had already finalized it after 13 years of marriage.

Brady and Bündchen — who share children Benjamin, 13, and Vivian, 10, plus Jack, the athlete’s 15-year-old son with ex Bridget Moynahan — said in their separate statements that they would be co-parenting their kids.
Immediately after he shared the stunning news, 45-year-old Brady took to his Instagram Story to post photos of both his exes and his family, including his mom.
Although Brady did not mention Moynahan, 51, or Bündchen by name in his quick announcement — he joked he had used up his “super emotional” speech last year — he did thank his fans for supporting his family over the years.
“Thank you, guys, so much to every single one of you for supporting me, my family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors,” he shared. “Thank you, guys, for allowing me to live my absolute dream. I wouldn’t change a thing.”
Along came Christine.
Ben Stiller and his wife, Christine Taylor, had no intention of seriously dating when they first met.
“We were both each other’s, I would say, like, sort of rebound relationship a little bit,” Taylor, 51, admitted on Monday’s episode of her “Hey Dude … The ’90s Called!” podcast.
Stiller, who was this week’s guest star, agreed that they started off casually.
“We weren’t taking it seriously,” said Stiller, 57.
The “Zoolander” star explained to listeners that he had met his now-wife on the set of the 1999 TV pilot “Heat Vision and Jack.”
“We had a fun time making the show and then Christine and I connected and then I went off to do a movie [‘Keeping the Faith’] in New York and I invited her to come hang out,” Stiller said.
Taylor said she accepted his invitation and ended up “staying the entire summer.” The pair entered into a whirlwind romance and tied the knot in 2000 after just one year of dating.
Their marriage hasn’t been without its difficulties, however. Stiller and Taylor announced they were separating after 17 years of marriage in May 2017. But the pair rekindled their love during the pandemic and confirmed they were back together in February 2022.

“We were separated and got back together and we’re happy about that,” Stiller told Esquire at the time. “It’s been really wonderful for all of us. Unexpected, and one of the things that came out of the pandemic.”
Together they share two kids: daughter Ella, 20, and son Quinlin, 17. They have also starred in several movies together including “Zoolander,” “Tropic Thunder,” and “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.”
Before falling for each other, Stiller had dated several actresses including Jeanne Tripplehorn, Calista Flockhart and Amanda Peet.
Meanwhile, the actress dated Neil Patrick Harris for a year before ending things in 1988.
In 2006, the “How I Met Your Mother” star publicly came out as gay and later credited Taylor for helping him accept his sexuality.
“She’s the coolest, nicest chick ever. She’s an absolute catch, and I thought, ‘If I’m not going to feel the super sparks with her … it probably means I’m gay,’” Harris said on “The Howard Stern Show” in 2008.
Taylor also dated her podcast co-host — and former “Hey Dude” co-star — David Lascher when they were teenagers.
The young actors were in a relationship while filming the Nickelodeon comedy, which ran from 1989 to 1991. Since then, they have become good friends and often joke about their romantic history.
Tom Brady shared several sweet snaps featuring exes Gisele Bündchen and Bridget Moynahan after revealing he’s retiring from football “for good.”
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback followed up his emotional Instagram announcement Wednesday with photos from his 23 years on the field — two of which included his ex-wife.
One picture showed Brady and the former Victoria’s Secret Angel with son Benjamin, 13, and daughter Vivian, 10, as well as his and Moynahan’s 15-year-old son Jack.
Brady, 45, and Bündchen, 42, smiled from ear to ear in the family photo, which was taken after the athlete’s team won the 2021 Super Bowl.

The second snap of the model was a group shot taken during Brady’s time on the New England Patriots.
Since the “Let’s Go!” podcast co-host couldn’t fit all of his career highlights in the Instagram carousel, he posted dozens more photos on his Story.
One slide showed Bündchen, Jack, Benjamin and Vivian from behind as they sported Brady attire in a football stadium.
In another, Bündchen posed with her then-husband’s extended family.
As for Moynahan, whom Brady dated for three years before their 2006 breakup, the “Blue Bloods” star appeared in one smiling shot with him and Jack.

Although Brady did not mention the 51-year-old actress or Bündchen by name in his minute-long announcement, he did briefly thank his family for their support over the years.
“I’ll get to the point right away: I’m retiring for good,” he began. “I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press Record and let you guys know first.”

The famed athlete subsequently acknowledged the retirement announcement he made exactly one year ago — and then took back 40 days later.
The seven-time Super Bowl winner’s NFL return led to an “epic fight” between him and Bündchen, as Page Six exclusively reported in September 2022.
“They had agreed he would retire to focus on the family, then he changed his mind,” a source told us at the time.
One month later, the couple announced they had finalized their divorce after 13 years of marriage.
“We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time spent together,” Brady wrote via Instagram in October 2022. “We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way.”
The model, who also emphasized her wishes to amicably co-parent at the time, was recently spotted touring a Miami private school.
Bündchen gushed over Brady’s “new chapter” in an Instagram comment Wednesday, writing that she is “wishing [him] only wonderful things.”
