Scout Willis ‘overwhelmed’ after sharing dad Bruce’s dementia diagnosis
Scout Willis said she is “overwhelmed” after she and her family revealed her father, Bruce Willis, has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
Taking to her Instagram Story late Thursday to update fans on her feelings, Scout shared a selfie wearing a cozy hoodie and wrote, “Feeling emotionally tired and a bit overwhelmed, yet also very in awe of the love so many people have for my papa.”
Scout, 31, received additional support from her sisters, Rumer Willis and Tallulah Willis, who re-shared her Story on their own accounts and echoed that they are “grateful” for the support that has poured in since making their announcement.
“Second this Scouter feeling the abundant love for our guy and our family,” Tallulah, 29, wrote.
“I third this Scouter and Buusk feeling so deeply grateful and in awe of the love for our sweet Daddio,” Rumer, 34, added.
The “Die Hard” star’s entire family, including ex-wife Demi Moore, released a joint statement Thursday afternoon explaining the “cruel” diagnosis he had finally received after initially being told he was suffering from aphasia.
“Today there are no treatments for the disease, a reality that we hope can change in the years ahead,” the family wrote. “As Bruce’s condition advances, we hope that any media attention can be focused on shining a light on this disease that needs far more awareness and research.”
The group explained that Bruce, 67, is unable to respond to his situation but said if he “could,” he would express his appreciation for the love he has received.
“Bruce has always found joy in life — and has helped everyone he knows to do the same,” the family wrote. “It has meant the world to see that sense of care echoed back to him and to all of us.”
The retired actor shares Scout, Rumer (who is pregnant with her first child) and Tallulah with Moore, to whom he was married from 1987 to 2000.
Bruce and current wife Emma Heming, whom he married in 2009, share daughters Mabel, 10, and Evelyn, 8.
Bam Margera’s estranged wife, Nicole Boyd, reportedly filed for legal separation from the “Jackass” alum after a visit with their son, Phoenix.
The model’s lawyer, David Glass, told TMZ Thursday that she was present the last time the stuntman hung out with the 5-year-old, believing him to be under the influence and acting “inappropriately.”
Margera, however, reportedly claimed to be sober at the time.
Regardless, Boyd, 39, subsequently “made the hard choice” to file “to protect herself and their son.”
The outlet broke the news of Boyd’s legal decision on Wednesday, with the actress citing irreconcilable differences in her Los Angeles paperwork at the time.
Boyd allegedly asked for both legal and physical custody of Phoenix, as well as spousal support.
Page Six has reached out to Boyd’s attorney for comment.
The photographer has been married to Bam since October 2013, and they became parents four years after their Iceland nuptials.
Boyd previously filed for full custody of their little one in 2021 amid Margera’s substance abuse issues.
The former professional skateboarder has been in and out of rehab since 2009. This year alone, Margera has made headlines for escaping court-ordered rehabilitation facilities on multiple occasions.
His former co-star Steve-O, who is 14 years sober himself, recently begged Margera to get help.
After alleging via Instagram that the “Viva La Bam” alum got “loaded” after his show, Steve-O wrote, “You say you want to have a relationship with your son, but your actions guarantee the exact opposite will happen.
“I wish you could know how much I’ve hated feeling braced for news of your death, but you’re making it clear that I have no other choice,” the 48-year-old added in the since-deleted comment.
“You’re dying, brother, and it sucks that I can’t do anything to save you.”

The momager posted a photo of her ring finger adorned with the huge sparkler on her Instagram Story earlier this week in honor of Valentine’s Day, and let the picture do the talking instead of adding a caption.
Rushing over to Reddit, confused fans had mixed reactions to the meaning of the ring.
One person wrote, “Did you see Kris’ latest Instagram story? A new ring from him? Engaged?”
“I was thinking engagement,” another wrote, before a third added, “A Kris wedding sounds like fun content for the show.”
The mom of six has yet to speak out on the speculation.
Page Six has reached out to the pair’s reps for comment. Jenner, 67, who has worn massive diamonds on her hands before, shared a series of snaps from her romantic Valentine’s Day with her beau, consisting of flowers and Champagne.
The ring, which featured a simple band with clear-cut stone sitting proudly in the center, is estimated to be worth over $1.2 million, Kyron Keogh, Managing Director and Co-founder of ROX tells Page Six Style.
The jewelry expert says the ring is a heart cut of approximately 10 carats.

The duo, who have been dating since 2014, were last year rumored to be secretly married after her daughter Khloé Kardashian noticed her wearing a diamond ring on that finger.
“I’ve heard from so many people that you’re secretly married,” Khloé, 37, tells her mom in an episode of Hulu’s “The Kardashians,” to which Jenner replied with a giggle, “No, I’m not secretly married.”
After noticing Jenner with a massive ring, Khloé pressed her mom more.
“Stop,” Jenner added. “You think I’m gonna get married and not have a big ass party? No, Khloé, I’m not secretly married. I swear to God, on all my kids and daddy.”
While it’s unclear if the pair are engaged at this time, Jenner and Gamble, 42, do live together in a lavish Calabasas mansion, located next door to Khloé’s.
Jenner previously gushed over her man’s “protective side,” saying he “takes care of everything” at the house and essentially acts as the “head of security.”
