PS5 Wireless Earbuds Are Reportedly In The Works At Sony

According to a report on Insider Gaming, Sony is manufacturing dedicated PS5 earbuds under the title of Project Nomad, as well as a brand new wireless headset for its latest home console.
The earbuds are reportedly set to feature a battery life of five hours, which puts them in line with Apple’s AirPods, but less than Sony’s own WF-100XM3’s, which last for about six hours. Both the earbuds and headset are scheduled for release around the end Fiscal Year 2023, which runs April 2023 — March 2024.
Elsewhere, the report claims that Project Nomad will feature a charging case that can be powered by USB-C cable to the PS5, which is also set to be used for any updates for the earbuds. The headset meanwhile is reportedly codenamed Voyager, and is similar in functionality to the Intone HD7 headset. A Price point has yet to be determined, however.
It’s worth mentioning that Insider Gaming also revealed recently that Sony is working on a new version of the PS5, which is reportedly scheduled to launch at some point later this year. However, it is unlikely this will be a PS5 Pro or Slim.
