Brittany Matthews is pulling out the receipts.

After the Chiefs defeated the Eagles 38-35 in Super Bowl 2023, Matthews — who married Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in March — said those that doubted Kansas City owe the team an apology.

“I think a lot of people need to apologize for what they said about this team at the beginning of this season,” Matthews tweeted Tuesday, followed by a laughing-crying and a smiling emoji.

Now, Matthews is apparently ready to name names.

On Thursday, the KC Current co-owner took to Twitter to share a screen-grab of ESPN analyst Bart Scott during an appearance on “Get Up,” in which he predicted that the Chiefs would miss the playoffs.

Although Matthews’ tweet did not include any text, the photo spoke for itself.

During a separate appearance on ESPN’s “First Take” this past NFL season, Scott reiterated his belief that the Chiefs would miss the postseason.

“I think the Achilles heel is going to be your defense because I think maybe you have the fourth-best defense within the division [AFC West],” Scott said at the time, adding, “It could be a reset year where you guys miss the playoffs.”

Fellow ESPN NFL analyst, Robert Griffin III, who also appeared on “First Take” at the time, couldn’t contain his laughter.

“Oh my God, I can’t believe this,” Griffin said while holding his hands over his face.

Chiefs fans most likely won’t let Scott live this one down after Kansas City took home its second Lombardi Trophy in four seasons. The Chiefs defeated the 49ers 31-20 to win Super Bowl 2020.

On Sunday, Mahomes, who played through a high ankle sprain, won his second Super Bowl MVP trophy.

Matthews, who’s known for her fiery tweets defending her husband and the Chiefs, was by his side after the big game, which took place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

The couple partied the day away at the Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade in Kansas City on Wednesday, when they tossed back beers and ripped shots in videos Matthews shared to Instagram.

After the parade and a fan rally, the Chiefs hit up Mosaic nightclub in downtown Kansas City for a private party. The team and their guests enjoyed VIP bottle service at the club, which was decorated in Chiefs’ red and gold colors.

Although Kansas City officials expected 500,000 people to show up for the Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade, the final turnout may have been upwards of 1 million, according to KCUR 89.3, Kansas City’s NPR station.
