Daytime TV may have a second shot with Wendy Williams. In a puzzling new video, the ex-talk show host revealed she’s “formerly retired” as she expressed her interest in joining The View.

While shopping at a New York City Petco, Williams, who checked into a wellness facility last September, opened up about her upcoming plans — and more importantly, her desire to return to television.

“I’m shopping for kitty litter because I have a wax museum in Paris and one in California,” she said in the clip. “I’m going for a week in Paris and then three weeks in California and then immediately fly back.”

She added, “And then I want to be on TV, stuff like Seth Meyers, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, The View, stuff like that. I am formerly retired.”

Williams spent 13 years hosting The Wendy Williams Show. However, she did not appear in the show’s final season as she dealt with health complications. When she reportedly went AWOL, leaving a slew of guest hosts to fill in for her, the show officially got the axe and Sherri Shepherd officially took over the time slot last fall.

According to Williams’ former manager, William Selby, she was in denial over the show’s cancellation up until the final episode aired.

“No matter how many people could have told her — you could have told her, I could have told her — she’s thinking, ‘I’ll be ready in a week and I’m coming to shoot,’” he told The Hollywood Reporter in August 2022. “So, it kind of happened all of a sudden for her, even though it was unraveling before her eyes.”

Unfortunately, Williams may have just missed the cut-off to join The View for a full-time hosting gig. After a year of searching for Meghan McCain‘s replacement, the show officially hired both Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin to fill the seat last summer. But who’s to say there won’t be room at the Hot Topics table for Williams to guest host in the future?

Here’s hoping we get to see her wild personality on our TV screens someday soon!
