Jamie Lee Curtis sends gifts to Hoda Kotb’s daughters after hospitalization
Jamie Lee Curtis sent Hoda Kotb’s daughters gifts following the hospitalization of Kotb’s 3-year-old.
Ahead of her Oscar win on Sunday night, the “Everything Everywhere All at Once” actress sent the “Today” show host “beautiful” gifts for her two girls.
“I opened a package and inside I saw two teddy bears and a [gift] you had given to my girls,” Kotb revealed Tuesday morning on “Today,” adding that Curtis also included a “beautiful” item from her “My Hand in Yours” charity, which raises money for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Continuing to thank Curtis, Kotb said, “I thought to myself, ‘In the middle of her shining moment in her life, she is sending something to me and my kids.’ And I can’t tell you how touching and how beautiful I thought that was.”
Kotb — who shares daughters Haley Joy, 6, and Hope, 3, with ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman — added that a thoughtful note was included along with the gifts that read, “I know it was scary. This is for your girls.”

Curtis also has two daughters, Annie, 36, and Ruby, 27, with husband Christopher Guest and responded to Kotb’s gratitude by saying she “gets it.”
“It’s the hardest thing in the world. There’s nothing scarier in the world than a sick kid,” she added, mentioning her charity and the work that they do for sick children and families in need.
“I was simply showing up for [Kotb’s family] in the way I could,” Curtis, 64, said.
Kotb, 58, sparked fan concern when she was absent from “Today” for two weeks last month.
She returned on March 6, revealing that her daughter Hope had been hospitalized for an unknown illness.
“My youngest [daughter], Hope, was in the ICU for a few days and in the hospital for more than a week,” she said. “I’m so grateful she’s home. We are watching her closely. I am just so happy.”
Co-host Savannah Guthrie gushed over her colleague’s strength during the scary time, saying that Hope is “much better” and that Kotb is ready “to get back to life” following the incident.

“I was just thinking: She’s brave and she’s courageous and she’s strong, and she was that when Hope was sick, and she’s that in wanting to come back to work, and with Hope going back to school,” Guthrie, 51, shared Friday.
Eric André has blasted the troubled son of Tom Hanks as “emotionally disturbed” in a new interview.
The standup comedian claimed to Rolling Stone that Chet Hanks, who used to go by the pseudonym Chet Haze, became extremely problematic while filming the “Eric André Show.”
“Chet Hanks, on the other hand, was a tough cookie. He broke our crew. It felt like ‘Rust,’” Andrew told the magazine, referencing the Alec Baldwin movie that resulted in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
“He broke us down.”
André, 39, recalled Chet engaging in “dangerous” behavior that could have resulted in injured cast and crewmembers.
“He is… emotionally disturbed. He stole a motorcycle and rode it around. He almost knocked a bunch of grips and gaffers off their ladders,” André shared.
“It was very dangerous. He tried to prank us back, but we edited out all his bulls–t!” he continued. “He’s not well. How did Colin Hanks come out so good and Chet Hanks come out so bad?”
The “Man Seeking Woman” voice actor further claimed that Chet “tried to sleep with Ziwe.”
“I talked to Ziwe about it. God, what a guy. Now he’s the executive producer on the show and the president of Adult Swim,” he joked, laughing.
A rep for Chet, 32, didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
Chet’s troubled past and struggle with addiction issues have been well-documented, but he sobered up in 2018. Unfortunately, he relapsed but has been clean since September 2021 and has launched a personal training company.

Back in November, Chet candidly recalled his parents sending him to a wilderness program in southern Utah to treat his addiction when he was in high school.
“They just hiked us in circles with an 80-pound pack,” the “White Boy Summer” rapper remembered. “There’s a lot going through your mind. You’re under observation. … They’re psychoanalyzing you and picking you apart.”
