The director of Baldur’s Gate III has revealed that developer Larian Studios is not ruling out the possibility of DLC for the critically acclaimed fantasy-RPG, although admitted that coming up with ideas for expanses is “very hard.”
Speaking during an interview with the Dungeons and Dragons YouTube channel, Swen Vincke suggested that any possible DLC would not have to be an end-game affair.
Well, you could do different things in [the expansion], so it doesn’t have to be necessarily at the end of the game. There’s different ways that you can do that.
This isn’t the first time that the Baldur’s Gate III development team have touched on the possibility of DLC, with Senior Product Manager Tom Butler revealing to IGN last month that Larian wants to do more with the game at some stage. At this point nothing has been confirmed, but it sounds like there’s a good chance we’ll get something down the line.
Baldur’s Gate III is now available for PS5 and PC, with an Xbox Series X/S version of the game also planned. You can read our full review here.
